Naiomi has been a Trustee since 2018.
Naiomi is a strategic and leadership communications professional, whose recent roles include Head of Group Leadership Communications at Lloyds, Consultant Editor of Responsible Business Forums for Tortoise Media, Director of CEO Communications and Editorial for NatWest Group, and Head of Strategic Communications for the Chair, CEO and Executive Committee of Santander UK. Key areas of focus are innovation and skills, the green economy, and resilient communities. Prior to this, Naiomi led speeches and communications for seven Lord Mayors of London, and worked for the Tate Gallery and for the former Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, managing initiatives around responsible business, young people and the environment. Naiomi also works with private clients from the public, business and voluntary sectors through her own company.
Naiomi supported Mercy Ships UK in the communications and delivery of a special event to welcome our International Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, and celebrate the launch of the Global Mercy in Rotterdam in March 2022. Her initial link with Mercy Ships was as a DTS volunteer on the MV Anastasis in Benin, Cotonou, before supporting a partner-project to build an orphanage in Togo. In 2016, on behalf of the Lord Mayor, she facilitated the 20th anniversary event of Mercy Ships UK at the Mansion House, London.
