Lois joined our board in 2018 and is also a member of the International Board of Mercy Ships.

Lois joined the Gloag Foundation in 2014 following 15 years working as a senior consultant with a UK communications agency, including three years running its New York office. During that time, she advised clients in a wide range of industries including transport, sport, medicine, finance and the third sector.

Prior to joining The Gloag Foundation full-time, Lois became involved in supporting its work and has been visiting its projects in Africa for more than 18 years. In her current role, Lois, along with her fellow Director, oversees Freedom From Fistula and Kenya Children’s Homes projects across four countries – Sierra Leone, Malawi, Madagascar and Kenya.

Lois became involved with Mercy Ships when she visited the ship in Sierra Leone in 2003 to help facilitate a BBC documentary about the charity.

Lois is an honours graduate in International Relations and Economics from the University of St Andrews.
