Alisdair has been a Mercy Ships UK trustee since July 2025 and is a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
Alisdair has spent over 35 years working in financial services in a variety of risk management, leadership and, more recently, consultancy roles. Latterly he was the Chief Underwriting Officer for the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, served as a Chair of its Firmwide Commitments Committee, and was a long serving member of a variety of global business approval committees (ex-Asia). He led the Bank Debt Portfolio Group in London.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, Alisdair worked at JPMorgan plc and BNP Paribas and has led the execution of a large number of international financings in both developing and developed markets.
Alisdair has a degree in Physics from the University of Kent at Canterbury.
He and his wife have been supporters of Mercy Ships for many years.
