Thank you!

Saliou and his mother

Thank you!

Wow! Thank you for supporting Mercy Ships on Giving Tuesday Now, the special day of charitable giving in response to the coronavirus pandemic on the 5th May 2020. We are so proud of our amazing Mercy Ships family. It was a truly humbling experience to see you all come together and show your compassion.

Together we raised an amazing £12,695 to help support African healthcare professionals both now, during the current pandemic, and afterwards.

Thanks to you, Mercy Ships is continuing to support the local medical communities there and provide life-changing care to people like Saliou, who desperately needed an operation to repair his cleft lip. You and other Mercy Ships supporters helped to provide the operation he needed, healing him and restoring his future. As he grows he may not even have a scar.

Right now, we are preparing the Africa Mercy to return to Africa as soon as the current situation allows to continue changing and saving the lives of patients like Saliou and re-building healthcare systems reduced by the coronavirus.  We are supporting African healthcare professionals through donations of money and medical equipment, PPE and supplies. We have also a launched brand new remote training course to assist medical professionals battling coronavirus on the continent and are delivering many of our existing training courses online. In these challenging times, your support is more important than ever. Thank you.
