30 Apr Get Ready for Giving Tuesday Now
A global threat like COVID-19 touches every person on the planet, and it presents an opportunity to come together as a community. You may remember Giving Tuesday from December when the Mercy Ships community came together to raise more than £20,000 in a single day to provide free healthcare for the people of Senegal. Next week, there is a new chance to help change the world.
Next Tuesday, the 5th of May, is a special day of charity in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. It is an opportunity to make a difference and to show support for healthcare workers worldwide. May the 5th is Giving Tuesday Now.
As the world comes together to battle the pandemic, Giving Tuesday Now is another chance for you to support African medical professionals on the frontlines during and after these difficult times.
For 40 years, Mercy Ships donors have provided hope and healing to places where medical systems are overwhelmed, understaffed, underequipped.
You and other Mercy Ships donors have already helped donate emergency funds and supplies to Senegal, Sierra Leone, Benin, Liberia and Madagascar (read the Mercy Ships COVID-19 Update). Together we can do so much more.
In these challenging times, your support is more important than ever, so mark your diary and put a note on the fridge. We can’t wait to hear from you!Make a Difference
