Run for Mercy Ships
Mercy Ships urgently needs runners to participate in the following events to raise vital funds for our life-changing work in Africa:
ASICS British 10k London Run – Sunday 12th July
Join the excitement and ambience of this much-loved London event, passing through many historic and monumental sites symbolizing British tradition. Much of the race is the same as that to be used for the Olympic Marathons in 2012. With registration at just £35 and an easy 6.21 miles, this is a great event to make up a team! Wander up to the fountains to meet with other Mercy Ships runners, and enjoy a leisurely summer afternoon in London! Visit www.thebritish10klondon.co.uk for more information and return our registration form as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Rotary Race the Train in Tywyn, mid-Wales – Saturday 15th August
This great multi-terrain event has attracted thousands of runners for over 20 years. It offers a choice of 2 challenges: the Rotary Challenge 14.75 miles, or the Quarry Challenge 6.21 miles/10K with the chance for spectators to watch from the steam train. Take a family weekend break, or bring your running team for a challenge with a difference in the great outdoors of mid-Wales! There are cash prizes for breaking the Rotary Challenge course records previously standing at 1.19.23 for the men’s race and 1.34.52 for the women’s! Take up the challenge to become a Mercy Ships winner! Visit www.racethetrain.com and return the registration form to reserve a place.
