Mercy Ships mobilises volunteers to bring short-term assistance in places where it's most needed.

Mercy Teams
Short-term volunteers travel to work alongside ships and land-based programmes on specific field projects. Often from churches or civic groups, Mercy Teams raise funding in their home countries to cover their expenses and to help fund projects.

Disaster Response
In the wake of disasters such as the Asian Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina, Mercy Ships works with partners to mobilise medical and relief teams and assist with initial relief efforts, with an emphasis on helping to rebuild for the long-term through sustainable development.
